3 Peach Cocktails to Sip on This Summer

As much as I love to pair my glass of wine with a warm evening on the porch, i've been trying to branch out of my rosé rut this summer season. For me, that means trading my glass of wine for a fruit infused summer sip (or two)! Lately those summer sips have included a stone fruit that i've often overlooked when whipping up cocktails in the past.

At our house, peaches have ALWAYS been left out. But, ever since putting together a peach salad a few weeks back, i've been including them in EVERYTHING. I challenged myself to make three different peach cocktails that anyone would enjoy, and the results are sure to impress you.

From a husband approved Peach and Bourbon Smash, to a Peach Margarita fit for a summertime soiree and a Peach and Thyme Spritz great for a evening outside with your girls, my friends at Drizly and I have you covered with peach cocktails for EVERY occasion this summer. What's even better is that you'll never run out of alcohol to compliment your newfound love of this stone fruit because Drizly will have it delivered straight to your door! I had all of the alcohol needed dropped off within 60 minutes of my order (click here to see how their at home delivery works)!

Peach and Bourbon Smash

Don't be fooled by this peach cocktail's pretty exterior, because boy does it pack a punch. But, that's probably why it's husband approved! Inspired by my husband Jordon's love of Bourbon, this cocktail is sweet with a tough kick that keeps you wanting to sip more and more. If you're a bourbon lover, this simple concoction is the perfect way to elevate a classic for a summer party.

Ingredients

For the full Cocktail:

1/2 peach diced into tiny pieces

1 sprig of mint leaves

ice

1 oz lemon juice

1 and 1/2 oz bourbon

club soda

For the Mint Simple Syrup:

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup fresh mint leaves

Directions

For the Mint Simple Syrup:

In a small saucepan combine the sugar, water and mint leaves.

Bring to a simmer and once it boils remove from heat and let cool completely. Set aside for use shortly.

For the Full Cocktail:

Add peaches, Simple Syrup and mint leaves to a glass and muddle together.

Fill the glass with ice and add bourbon to the glass. Fill the remainder with club soda and garnish with mint leaves and a peach slice! Enjoy!

Peach and Thyme Spritz

My name is Kenzie and I have a love of Thyme in my cocktails. This cocktail is probably the simplest of the three to make. So, if you're just starting out this is the perfect option for you! It's inspired by traditional spritzers, which I gravitate towards in the summer because of how light and refreshing they are.

Ingredients

For the full Cocktail:

1/2 peach diced into tiny pieces

3 sprigs of thyme

ice

1 oz peach juice (or to taste)

1/2 oz lemon juice

1 oz vodka

Club Soda

Directions

For the Full Cocktail:

Add the vodka, peach, two sprigs of thyme and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker and shake well.

Add ice and diced peaches into a cocktail glass and pour the cocktail shaker over it. Fill the remainder of your glass with club soda and garnish with Peach and Thyme!

Frozen Peach Margarita

Is it really summer without a frozen margarita or two? Originally, I was going to make this on the rocks, but couldn't miss out on a chance to bring out the blender for a special treat on a warm summer day. For all of my taco Tuesday lovers, this refreshing frozen cocktail would perfectly compliment your themed night or party!

Ingredients

For the full Cocktail:

3 peaches, chopped

1 oz fresh lime juice

1/2 cup orange Juice

1 cup tequila

1/2 cup triple sec

3 tbsp honey

3 cups of ice

Directions

For the Full Cocktail:

Put all ingredients into a blender and blend well until smooth.

Pour ingredients into a glass and garnish with a peach slice. Enjoy!

There you have it! Three new peach cocktails to trade in your glass of wine for this summer. Which sounds best to you?
