5 Things You'd Never Guess About J
In the spirit of Valentines Day, and with a few requests coming in to get to know J better, I thought that this week would be the perfect opportunity to share a little bit more about him. Our love story goes back to our teenage years nearly 10 years ago (gosh, we're getting old 😂), and there is so much about him that you guys NEVER see on the blog. Jordon is a HUGE part of Simply J and K (photos, brainstorming, support), but isn't a big a big fan of writing or being in photos. I'm so excited to have convinced him be the topic of today's Valentine's Day themed post, because I really couldn't do this without him. And, it only feels right to share such a big part of my life on here!
We sat down and rounded up five completely random facts about him. And, if you haven't asked your significant other to do this, I highly recommend it. We laughed for HOURS!

He's Always the First to Cry in Movies
I remember one date night when Jordon and I went to see a Fault in Our Stars. You remember...that movie a few years back that had EVERYONE in tears? We couldn't have been more than 30 minutes into the movie when I looked to my left and saw Jordon losing it. I started cracking up because we were in a sea of girls under 30, and Jordon was the ONLY one crying. It's become a running joke in our house that we can't watch romantic comedies or pet movies, because he can't hold it together.
He HATES Being Alone
Jordon and I had to do long distance on two separate occasions. Once, when we went to college in different states. And, a second time when I moved to Washington, D.C. to start working six months before him. He claimed he didn't get a good sleep the entire time we were apart, because he can't sleep alone. He always says the same when I have to travel without him for work or with family! He also hates days off on his own. I'm a sucker for personal time, so sometimes I crave time by myself. But, he's the POLAR opposite!
His Favorite Shows are Teen Dramas
From Vampire Diaries to Teen Wolf, Jordon LOVES team dramas. And, honestly you would never guess it from knowing him. I have to admit, this is one random fact that I love about him, because they've always been my favorite shows too.
He Prefers Cities and Mountains over the Beach
We've been very fortunate to travel a lot in the nine years that we've been together. From Europe, to South Africa, Colorado, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Nevis and so many other locations we've really seen so much. But, if there's one thing I've learned about J...it's that he really doesn't like the beach. To be fair, he likes the ocean, but just hates the feeling of sand. That's why it's no surprise we opt for mountains, jungles and cities when we travel.
He Loves to Make People Laugh
One of the reasons I fell in love with Jordon is because he always makes me laugh. He's cracks dad jokes constantly, whether we're cooking, fighting, driving or shooting outfit photos.
