3 Ways to Style a Denim Skirt

Hello, gorgeous girls! I'll be honest, when I first heard that the denim skirt trend was coming back this summer I had MAJOR flashbacks to my go-to kindergarten outfits (anyone with me?). But, now that i've bought into it, I don't know how I ever got by without it. It's chic, trendy, comfortable and effortless!

I decided to try out this trend after I realized I'd been pinning more and more denim skirts. Seriously, this trend is EVERYWHERE. I love that it can be dressed up or down, and have found myself wearing it all weekend long. Plus, this trend is perfect for summer and fall - so it isn't too late to invest in your very own denim skirt. And, today I'm sharing three ways you can style it!

Tie off an off-the-shoulder top

I wanted to make this look chic so I grabbed one of my go-to off-the-shoulder tops and tied it off at the top of my denim skirt. I have to say, I LOVE the way it turned out. It kept the outfit simple, while giving the look a bit of an edge. My advice is to keep the outfit simple, as the front buttons on the skirt are eye catching enough.

Opt for a simple white tee

You know that old white tee you have in the back of your closet? You finally have the perfect skirt to pair it with. Denim skirts were truly made for tee shirts. I LOVE how simple, yet chic the look is when it comes together.

Grab your favorite pair of sneakers

To me, a denim skirt gives off a sporty vibe. With sneakers being SO in this fall, they are the perfect compliment to your new skirt. Opt for a pair like these or these to make your look sporty-casual. Plus, who doesn't love a chance to pop on a pair of sneakers instead of heels?
