DIY Paper Wrapped Valentines Bouquet
Some of my absolute favorite memories revolve around Valentines Day. When I was little I used to spend hours working on my Valentines Day Mail Box for school. Seriously, you'd think I was preparing to enter it a contest. Not much has changed in regard to my love of mixing Valentines Day and arts and crafts, so today I'm sharing a cute way to spruce up a bouquet of flowers for your Valentine with this DIY Paper Wrapped Valentines Bouquet Tutorial. It's fun, easy and sure to make your valentine get all the heart eyes.
After gifts, flowers and dinner Valentines Day is expensive enough. So, instead of splurging on a bouquet from a flower shop, I suggest heading to a local grocery store and picking out some flowers there (PSA: Trader Joe's has the absolute BEST flowers). Then, follow the steps below and your Valentine will love the personal touch.
DIY Paper Wrapped Valentines Bouquet
What you'll need:
Craft paper
Fresh blooms (try roses and some time of greenery)
Decorative paper
Ribbon
Step one: Mix your flowers and trim the stems so that they stay fresh as long as possible. Then, lay them flat on the back side of a square piece of decorative paper. Fold the corner of the paper (under the stem) so that it reaches midway up the flowers. Finally, role the remaining edges around the bouquet.
Step two: Cut your craft paper into a larger square piece and follow steps above. Make sure you lay this piece of paper slightly lower than the last to get a layered look.
Step three: Take a ribbon and wrap it around the bouquet where the two layers of paper intersect. Then, give it to your valentine!
Like I said, this DIY is so simple and inexpensive. I got all my supplies from Michaels for under $10. Happy crafting!
