Jordon's Valentines Day Gift Guide For Him

Jordon's Valentines Day Gift Guide For Him

I have to admit when it comes to knowing what guys want for Valentines Day, i'm clueless. So, I figured I'd bring in reinforcements in the form of my hubby. Turning it over to J!

Considering I am the “J” in the title, I figured it was time to pull my weight writing for Simply J&K – Being the photographer just isn’t cutting it anymore. There have been several opportunities for me to be the voice of reason, but I waited specifically for Valentines Day.

As Kenzie well knows, I will find any excuse to be showered with gifts – in fact, I have decided that we will be celebrating half birthdays.  That said, Valentines Day gifts can be a bit tricky because you want to get your HABs (Husbands and Boyfriends) a gift they’ll love but wouldn’t buy for themselves. It can be tough to buy for that special someone in your life, so I thought I’d put a list together to inspire you.  So, in no particular order, here are some gifts that will make your Valentines Day night extra special.

1. Nike Roshe Run/$89.99 – Sneakers are no longer just for sport. Nike Roshe runs are the quintessential (foot) bridge between fashion and functionality. Not to mention they’re the most comfortable casual athletic shoe out there. Your bae will thank you; then you can thank me.

2. Happy Feet Socks/ $12.00 – Wearing a suit to work every day can really suck the individuality out of you.  To fight The Man I make sure my sock game is on fleek at all times. As an added bonus they’re a great conversation piece in any situation. I’m hoping K buys me this pair this year (hint, hint), but I’m also a huge fan of these.

3. Tile Tracker / $24.99 – Of all the ways I drive Kenzie up the wall, constantly losing things is the worst.  Hell hath no fury like a wife who’s going to be late…because of you.  Using the Tile Tracker will make lost items no longer an issue, keep him from having to sleep on the couch and you from searching for a lost phone or keys.

4. Coach Wallet/ $75 – For years, I lost a wallet a year.  Back in those days, there was no Tile Tracker for me to keep one for an extended amount of time.  After keeping the same cheap wallet for close to two years Kenz surprised me with this coach wallet to celebrate.  I was never really a fan of clunky wallets, so the simplicity and sleek look of this one fit my needs perfectly. Want to get your guy one with a bit more room? Check out this version.

5. Sports gear /$24.99 – My loyalty to the Packers is eternal. When I see someone else repping green and gold they immediately feel like family.  There is a certain inexplicable bond that is silently shared from a distance. Getting your valentine their team’s colors is always a good idea. I’m hoping K snags me this hat for our next trip back home to Indy, but I’d also love these mugs.

6. Decanter/ $69 – One of my favorite TV Shows is Suits. Every time I would watch Harvey walk over to his bar and pour a drink I would think “Man, is he cool.” Since I can’t be a Bad Ass lawyer making millions, I have decided having a personalized decanter is close enough, and I’m sure your guy will feel the same.

7. Beats wireless headphones/ $199.99 (Jabra Headphones/ $99.99) – Does he go to the gym a lot? Or like to travel? These beats wireless headphones are one of the best gifts I’ve ever bought myself. I love mine so much, I even got K a pair for Christmas too.

8. Monogrammed business card holder/ $69 – For any professional the business card is his lifeline.  Instead of always fumbling around looking for bent business cards to hand out, a sleek card holder like this one will keep your guy looking like he belongs in Mad Men. You’re welcome.

9. Ray Ban Aviators/ $200 – Let’s be honest, every guy on this planet thinks Maverick from Top Gun is the OG. There is no better way to emulate the manliness that is Maverick like putting on a pair of aviators and going for a drive with your girl in the passenger’s seat.

10. Apple TV/ $149.99 (3rd generation/ $69.99) – We all know that streaming movies and shows is commonplace today.  Although Apple TV gives you the means to do so, it does so much more. I often use airplay transforming the TV into my computer screen when I working, writing my first blog post, or when binge watching YouTube. Plus, it will make your Netflix and Chill night even better, so really it’s a gift for you too.

11. Duffel Bag/ $148 – Pre-Kenzie I would travel with my basketball bag as a makeshift suitcase.  Fast forward a few years and I have come to appreciate a travel bag that’s both functional and stylish. I no longer travel like a high school kid on the way to a basketball tournament, and with this bag your guy won’t either.

12. Amazon Echo Dot/ $49.99 – My Amazon Echo, AKA Alexa, and I have become quite close. Kenz sometimes calls her my second wife.  Every morning she tells me the weather, plays my Pandora, remembers the grocery list, and tells me how to make any cocktail I want.  As great as all of that sounds, that only scratches the surface to all that Alexa can do. So, if you don’t want to have handle you guy’s life, let Alexa do it for you.

13. Harry Shave Club Razor Kit/ $24.99 – Shaving is never fun, but this razor makes it less of a chore. Give your man a hint that it's time to shave his scruff, with a razor that's sure to make him step up his shaving game.
