Colorado: Dressing for Summer

Hi there! Long time no see...or write... or read, or, well, you get the picture. If you follow me on Instagram, then you may have seen that J and I just returned from a weeklong getaway in Vail, Colorado. I haven't posted too much about our trip just yet, but plan to do a city roundup on where to eat, shop, hike and more later this week. But, for now, I wanted to show you a quick look that was really inspired by Colorado.

No matter where I travel, whether inside the U.S. or abroad, i'm always amazed by how much culture influences fashion. In NYC, you'll find the latest trends and looks that push the limit. In London, it's city-chic with clean lines and tailored cuts. In Phoenix it's boho inspired prints and airy fabrics. And in Colorado, it's an effortless, western style with tousled hair and minimal makeup.

I packed pretty light for our trip, knowing that i'd be living in my Patagonia and leggings most days. But, on 2 of the nights we did have enough energy to get dressed and go to dinner I pulled out this top from Neon Rose (now on sale for $19), with my favorite high-waisted jeans and either a pair of sandals or boots depending on the weather. I love the pretty but muted print, and the cut made me feel like I was getting dressed up without going over the top. Which, is exactly what Colorado seems to be about.

Want to know more about our trip to Vail? Comment or DM me with your questions and I'll do my best to include them in this week's Travel Diary.

XO,

K
