Why I Love Dresses + My Favorites for Summer

Breaking news, summer weather is *hopefully* here to stay! Can you tell i'm excited? We had the worst winter, so i've been craving lazy summer days. 

As soon as the weather gets above 75 degrees, I start reaching for dresses. Why do I love them so much? They're easy! It's a one item outfit, which means I can pick one thing from my closet and be on my way. I also love the feminine feel that comes with wearing a summer dress. 

When I saw this ruffled gingham dress from the Gal Meets Glam collection I just knew I had to add it to my summer wardrobe. Really it was L O V E at first sight. I adore the 50s silhouette and the ruffled top! It's the perfect mix of feminine and flirty and can be worn during the day, or dressed up for a night on the town. I recently wore this exact outfit out to a work dinner, and can't tell you how many compliments I received.
