Pink and Grey Balcony Reveal

Hey friends! For starters, thank you thank you thank you for your patience with our home décor posts. We moved in this spring, and as much as I wish our home was “done” we’re still not quite there. I have this thing about showing the house before it’s complete, so I figured I’d just give each room a post of its own as we finish them. If you prefer it a different way, just let me know! Always appreciate your feedback

Last week I shared the center of our home, the living room, and you all were so sweet with your comments and notes. It got me motivated to share another room with you guys this week and luckily I finished our back balcony just in time. Admittedly, our patio is a little small. We’re in a townhome, and we definitely traded space inside for a lack of space outside. But, we’ve made the most of it with the right furniture, simple décor and a few pops of color.

So without further ado, I give you our little Balcony Sanctuary in the heart of Carmel, IN. It’s the perfect place to plop down and read a book, kick off the morning with a coffee session, grill out with friends and sip wine with J during these gorgeous summer days.

FURNITURE:

We started our patio project by picking up the furniture. When thinking through what we wanted, the first thing that came to my mind was “Modern comfort.” My parents always had the coziest sitting spaces in our homes, and I knew I wanted something similar that wouldn’t break the bank. We always wanted it to fit with the trendy and modern feel in our  house and were ecstatic when we found this black seating set at Target (crazy, right). We paired them with a light washed Garden Stool that we move around depending on who’s sitting where!

DÉCOR:

If I’m being honest, J and I would love to stain the deck, but have a few HOA restrictions so opted for rugs instead of paint.  I hated the original color, but the rugs bring so much color and texture to our small space. I shared the pink rug on my Instagram story, and you all were shocked to know I got it on sale for under $10. Trust me, I was surprised myself too. I LOVE how it turned out and linked a few similar options here. Heads up: The texture is more of a rice mat and not a rug, but it’s held up so well and think it’s a better option long-term if you live in a climate that changes often!

We’re totally and completely in love with our new balcony set up and as you can see our pup Tyson is too! So, here’s to more mornings and evenings in our new home!

XO, K
