Watermelon & Smock Tops

I live for Indiana Summers. The winter here is brutal, but the bright greens and summer sun make it all worthwhile. It may come as a surprise to those of you who haven’t visited, but Indiana is truly gorgeous this time of year.

Though it’s stunning, Indiana Summers always brings a heat wave through the Midwest. So being outside requires a few things including sunscreen and lightweight pieces that can carry you through the humidity. Lately, I’ve been loving Square Neck tops, so it was no surprise that I purchased this classic cut top when I stopped in Free People over the weekend. It’s perfect for dealing with the summertime heat! And, I’ve found a bunch of similar styles including this one from Urban Outfitters, this one from TopShop and this plain white version from FP too.

 J and I have a few summer travel plans coming up soon, and I’m so excited to bring a few smock tops along with us. It will be perfect paired with Jeans, like I did here, or with a black denim skirt and sneakers! On the travel note, we’re headed to Colorado for a week soon, so if you have any recommendations please shoot them my way!
