Rainbow Smoothie Bowl

I never thought i'd be one of those people.

Honestly, a few years ago I thought smoothie bowls were another foodie trend brought on by the need to take Instagram worthy photos. Think about it....Why would you make a smoothie less convenient by moving it to a bowl and piling a bunch of fruit on top of it?

But, then I made this Acai Bowl , and, well, life was never the same again. And, there really is something about moving your smoothie to a bowl that makes it feel like more of a breakfast.

Scroll on for my new favorite breakfast or lunch treat that combines all the healthy benefits of a smoothie, but also requires a bowl or spoon for when you feel like you need a "real" meal.

Ingredients

For the Smoothie:

1 cup of frozen tropical fruit blend

1 cup of frozen berries

1 Bananas

1 small container of plain greek yogurt

1 cup vanilla almond milk

For the Toppings:

Red: Strawberries

Orange: Peaches

Yellow: Mango, Banana

Green: Kiwi

Blue: Blueberries

Directions

Combine the frozen tropical fruit blend, frozen berries, banana, yogurt and almond milk into a blender and blend until thick and smoothie. NOTE: For the smoothing bowl, it's important that this is really thick. The frozen fruit will help with this!

Once blended, pour into a bowl and layer over top! Snap a photo (you earned it) and mix up before you eat!
