Stepping Into Fall | OTK Boots

YOU GUYS - Fall clothes have been arriving on my doorstep daily and I just cannot contain my excitement. We're starting to get brisk temperatures here in Indy, and I even wore my first sweater this week. Want to guess how many pumpkins are sitting around my house right now? Twist my arm. Okay OKAY, i'll tell you. Three. And, i'm not ashamed in the slightest. I'm not even going to go into the fall candles that I have burning as I write this.  😉

If you haven't already gathered, fall is by far my favorite season. Apart from the general coziness that this time of year breeds, I just have a huge love of its fashion. Chunky knits, heavy skirts, plaid and boots. I can not wait to style new fall looks with you all, and am starting with this transitional look featuring the boots that have become my latest obsession.

Admittedly, these otk boots  (also love this pair on sale) cost an arm and a leg, but never have I found something more worth the investment. Yes, they're Stuart Weitzman. And, yes, I swear i'd never spend that much on them. But boy am I happy that they've become a staple in my closet. I only wear these for special occasions, so that they don't get too beaten up. If you're looking for similar otk boots that you can wear daily, i'd recommend this pair from Marc Fisher. They're what I wear to work or when we have too much snow!

Leather skirts are a staple this season, and pair perfectly with boots and booties. I found mine last year at ASOS, and it sold so well that they brought it back in black and in gray. I paired it with a simple bodysuit from Free People (on sale for under $20) and on sale in black!  I'll definitely throw a cardigan overtop this look come October, or opt to switch the bodysuit out for a chunky sweater.

Have you started pulling out your fall staples yet?

XO, K
